Extending for 20 miles total, the Blackwood Equestrian Center trails are long and gently winding, studded with tall trees and colorful wildflowers. One path leads to and then follows a stream for about five miles, another winds over a few gentle hills and down into a small valley, and another ends at a large pond where riders and their horses often go swimming in warmer weather. One path referred to as "The Course" includes twenty cross-country obstacles that can easily be ridden around if riders prefer not to jump them. When going on trail, all riders MUST: inform at least one staff member of when they are leaving and what trail they are taking; leave a note on the whiteboard to be erased when they return; and most importantly, ALWAYS RIDE WITH AT LEAST ONE OTHER PERSON.
